Hughes Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) Bi-Directional (BiDi) single-mode transceivers deliver reliable duplex optical communication over a single fibre, supporting 10GBASE-LR/LW in accordance with IEEE 802.3ae. Each BiDi link operates as a matched transmit and receive pair, optimised to reduce fibre count without compromising signal integrity.

Transmit and receive wavelengths are offset at 1270 nm and 1330 nm to enable stable bidirectional operation, while compact SFP+ form factors support high-density installations in telecom and data centre environments. Fully compliant with standard SFP interfaces and digital diagnostics, Hughes BiDi SFPs deliver dependable, low-loss optical performance while helping operators optimise network capacity and infrastructure cost.
