EU Referendum

Has the In /Out decision really come down to the issue of roaming charges?

Surely the result on the 23rd cannot come down to anything so trivial as the cost of roaming charges, but says David Cameron, charges will rise if we leave the E.U. Will that really happen? Or is it more rhetoric and scaremongering?

David says that if we vote leave we will forfeit the deal brokered in Brussels to reduce charges and consequently prices will rise here.

Boris Johnson says ‘whatever Brussells can do we can do better’. Is he right on this one?

Let’s not forget that all the major operators, Vodafone, O2/Telefonica, Orange, T.Mobile and the like all operate in Europe and will deploy the same infrastructure whether we are in or out of the E.U. Would they really risk the damage to their reputation by treating their customers with such blatant contempt?

And even if they did, if David is half the negotiator he says he is would it be beyond the British government to broker a matching deal or make them pay for their duplicity? If not then our problems would appear far deeper than the E.U.
