OTDR Optical time-domain reflectometer

A device used to test a fiber-optic link, including the optical fiber and connectors, by launching an optical signal (light pulse) through the link and measuring the amount of energy that is reflected back. The OTDR is a troubleshooting device that can pinpoint faults throughout a fiber-optic link.
